Sales - Rental Services Rental Counter Representative Level II - Michigan

Overview
Position duties include but are not limited to: coordinates the rental and inside counter sales of new and used equipment within the assigned branch to achieve profit goals.
Responsibilities
Assists with walk-in customers, outside rental/sales force, other departments and works with dispatch to ensure rental orders are completed "on time"
Works with other sales coordinators, branch managers, dispatchers and shops to ensure the completeness of all paperwork and contractual agreements
Conveys the highest quality customer service to all rental and sales customers which entails maintaining the overall condition of the showroom and store, explaining features and uses of equipment to customers, etc?
Developing relationships with current and new customers
Maintains a safety conscious work environment both inside and outside of store
Writes return tickets and does billing, and files it in the proper place. Manages all incoming and outgoing paperwork to ensure accuracy especially insurance and contracts.
Movement of fleet to and from rental locations, to maximize fleet utilization. Coordinates service to meet rental needs.
Coordinate with shop to meet rental needs and turn arounds
Develop, train and mentor current and new rental/sales personnel while maintaining own knowledge and skills including knowledge on machine specs.
Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education and technical training.
3 or more years of experience in sales or customer service
High school equivalency math skills required
Mechanical troubleshooting experience is very helpful
Familiarity with surrounding areas would be helpful as well as the ability to read and understand maps of the city and surrounding areas
Solid interpersonal and customer service skills
Great communication skills, including verbal, written, non-verbal, listening and presentation skills
Excellent analytical skills such as problem solving and the ability to interpret policies, procedures and guidelines
A complete knowledge of the market and the product with the ability to discuss the technical aspects of machinery such as aerial lifts, welders, generators, light towers and heavy machinery.
Strong leadership skills such as creative thinking, decision making and goal setting
Moderate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel. Moderate experience using data base systems
Must be able to lift 70+ pounds on an as needed basis in order to assist customers with products
Must be able to operate all equipment safely



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
