We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs.
Based in Macomb, MI, Triumph employs approximately 300 personnel. The Company's key products and services include manufacturing, test and assembly of complete transmission and gearbox assemblies as well as complex gears and housing. Our design engineering group can specify and design any gear application, from simple build-to-print to collaboratively engineered, highly specialize applications.
Responsibilities
Responsible for purchasing with a focus on bearings.
Buying services of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right time, at the right price.
Accurate definitions and specifications of the product being procured are based on established engineering data and customer flow down.
In addition to the activities that are distinctly within the province of purchasing, there are several responsibilities that are shared with other departments and Enterprise Sourcing agreements, by means of customer qualifications or by decisions reached by internal approval vendor lists (AVL) & strategic sources.
Complete accountability for material & service quotation
Conducting cost/price analysis
Developing supply sources
Maintaining purchased records
Negotiations
Corresponding with vendors
Reconciling delivery dates
Receipts and vendor invoices and all other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred.
Experience purchasing special processes, Plating, Heat Treatment, Shot Peen, Operational Machining etc?
BS degree
Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
Understand outside processing and ability to read blueprints.
Experience in project management, prioritizing work flow
Moderate travel required, about 25% (domestic and Canada)



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
