Vice President of Finance

SUMMARY Responsible for overseeing the Accounting, Finance and Information Technology functions of the organization and providing executive level leadership and strategic recommendations as part of the top management team of the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Business Advisor
Promote advancement of the Parents 80/20 philosophy and its execution
Work with operating management on 80/20 strategy and tactics, including business simplification and IT system improvements
Evaluate and justify capital investments and potential acquisitions
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead and/or monitor the effort to make such improvements
Lead the planning process and provide annual budgets, strategic plans and other financial forecasts Fiduciary trustee to Shareholders and Corporate Management
Provide adequate and clear quarterly analytics of key accounts
Prepare, analyze, and communicate monthly performance to Parent Company within established timelines
Satisfy ad hoc informational and special project requests from Parent Company in a timely manner
Build financial staff capable of succession or advancement
Create an atmosphere of honesty, integrity, and trust Financial Leader
Provide relevant, effective and timely business measurements
Ensure compliance with GAAP and Parent Company SPI's
Ensure the competency and adequacy of internal financial staff and resources
Ensure SOX compliance and adequacy of internal controls
Ensure full and complete financial closings
Participate/lead key financial project teams to evaluate systems, accounting cycles and techniques, and simplification effort
Provide oversight of the annual physical inventory
Perform internal audits of divisional activity
Accommodate external auditors for compliance
Develop annual budget and extended financial business plan in coordination with entire executive team Information Technology
Provide oversight and assure business continuity throughout the company
Determine and exploit opportunities to enhance systems on an ongoing basis
Plan and implement enhancements of existing systems to meet current and future business requirements.
Improve financial and operational productivity via the application of technology.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
