Patient Account Representative

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Patient Account Representative (PAR) on the east side of Macomb, Michigan (MI).The PAR will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with processing invoices and issuing payments:
Reconciling, reviewing and submitting claims, and entering data
Serving as the first contact for providers and guaranteeing their call is taken care of in a courteous and timely manner
Maintain strict confidentiality; adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
1 - 3 years of experience in Medical billing or a person with a Finance, Accounting, and Clerical Support or Business degree who understands full cycle accounts receivable
Must be fast accurate and strong attention to detail
Must understand the AP process and workflow and correct information required to enter
Must be able to appropriately apply knowledge to new situations
Full understanding of medical terminology and ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to speak with insurance companies, medical professionals, and patients

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
